    Peter Ackred
    CEO, Disability Sports Coach

    Peter Ackred is the founder and CEO of Disability Sports Coach, a registered charity which is an award-winning provider of sport and physical activity for disabled people. He has worked in the development of sport for disabled people for over 20 years and established Disability Sports Coach in 2005. In 2019, Peter was shortlisted for the Entrepreneur for Good Award at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

    Since its inception, the organisation has coached over 60,000 disabled people, trained 6,000 sports coaches across 300 courses, and established a network of 14 Community Clubs in 13 London Boroughs. Disability Sports Coach became a registered charity in 2013 and has raised more than £2.5 million towards its work supporting disabled people since then.

    Emma Cranston
    Emma manages the delivery of Disability Sports Coach’s Community Club, Coaching and Training services across London and beyond.

    Over the past year she has played a pivotal role in developing the DSC At Home programme and adapting our delivery services accordingly.

    Emma is currently the Head Coach for the Wayfarer Flyerz hockey project and has coached in the sector since 2012.

    She is also a qualified PE teacher and spent 4 months in 2017 creating Sport Inclusion workshops and resources for the charity EmbraceKulture in Uganda.

    Emma is incredibly passionate about positively shaping lives through sport.
