    Professor Adam Boddison
    CEO, Nasen

    Professor Adam Boddison is the Chief Executive for nasen (National Association for Special Educational Needs) with responsibility for strategic direction and operational delivery across the full breadth of nasen’s activity. He is also the Chair of the Whole School SEND consortium and Chair of the National SEND Reference Group.

    Adam is a National Leader of Governance and a Trustee at two Multi-Academy Trusts, spanning primary, secondary and specialist settings. Adam is a Trustee of the Potential Trust and a Fellow of the RSA. Prior to this, Adam held a number of senior education roles including Director of the Centre for Professional Education at the University of Warwick and Academic Principal for IGGY (a global educational social network for gifted teenagers). He has published a range of education books and is a qualified clinical hypnotherapist.

    Professor Jonathan Glazzard
    Head of Children, Education and Communities, Edge Hill University

    Professor Jonathan Glazzard’s research focuses on mental health, wellbeing and inclusion in education. He is a qualitative researcher and uses a broad range of approaches, including narrative methodology, visual/participatory methods and more traditional interviews and focus groups. Jonathan’s recent projects include exploration of head teacher resilience, teacher and child mental health and the experiences of teachers who identify as LGBTQ+. Jonathan is a co-convenor of the British Educational Research Association (BERA) Special Interest Group, Mental Health and Wellbeing in Education. He is also a member of the Excellence in International Transitions Research which is led by Professor Divya Jindal-Snape. Jonathan is deeply committed to research which advances social justice. He has published widely on aspects of inclusion and social justice for marginalised groups and individuals and he is deeply committed to research which improves the lives of individuals and research-informed teaching.

    Liz Murray
    SEND Improvement Lead, Star Academies

    Liz is the SEND Improvement Lead at Star Academies.
    Liz has worked in education for 20 years. She originally trained as a secondary English teacher, is a qualified and experienced SENCo, and has held school leadership roles in in both the state and independent sectors.
    Liz has a wealth of experience providing training and consultancy for SEND focused school improvement nationally and internationally.
    Liz regularly presents at national conferences and publishes articles designed to support school leaders, SENCos and teachers.
