Before training as a Psychotherapeutic counsellor, John trained and worked as an actor in Theatre, TV, film and directed for over 20 years. He then trained as a voice coach and taught in a number of leading drama schools in London. He was head of voice at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts for over 10 years, as well as directing and leading workshops both in the UK and in Europe. John is excited and passionate about developing his work as a therapist, especially working with those in education and the performing arts.
