Online groomers use language to form a relationship with the children they prey on, to gain and then betray children's trust. Professor Nuria Lorenzo-Dus will talk about how Project DRAGON-S has identified recurring linguistic patterns used by groomers, and the tools that are being developed using that information and Artificial Intelligence methods to detect and prevent online grooming, and to upskill and support safeguarding practitioners.
