About
Where should HR draw the line?

Let’s settle the age-old debate, once and for all: how far should HR leaders support the ever-changing interests of employees, versus the business’ needs?

Modern HR leadership requires strategic support skills, and both employers and workers are demanding ever more from the people profession.

So where should HR’s main focus be: with the workers, or the CEO? And how can both interests best be served?

In our next HR Lunchtime Debate – which is sponsored by the Electric Car Scheme – panellists will take a deep dive into this topic, addressing:
• Employees changing needs: how can HR best support staff during different stages of life and employment, like having to take family or sick leave, going through divorce, or being made redundant?
• Changing business needs: what does best practice employer support look like, in challenging situations, for example when employers need to make salary or job cuts?
• How employee benefits can help: what kinds of benefits can serve both employee and employer’s needs?
