About
Over the past decade, there has been a shortage of NDT inspectors.

While industrial production has increased globally, the number of newcomers to NDT has not kept pace with this trend. The situation is particularly challenging for the aerospace sector, where inspectors require additional qualifications and the gap is widening annually. Furthermore, the impact of the global pandemic has been significant, affecting not only operations but also the human side of the industry.

During the pandemic, a number of trained professionals retired, and the current pool of candidates is not large enough to balance the demand. This may become a significant issue for the sector in the upcoming years.

Becoming a NDT-certified technician in the aerospace sector is particularly challenging, and meeting the requirements for on-the-job training can further slowdown the process.

In response to this global challenge, Testia, an Airbus company, has drawn upon its over 30 years of experience in NDT and developed a solution for the industry.

Testia's NDT Cadet Academy is an intensive training course that enables individuals to achieve level 1 or 2 for non-destructive testing within a short time. All theoretical course contents and on-the-job training hours are included. The NDT Cadet Academy is the most direct route to becoming an NDT professional.

Delegates will learn:
• Discover how can we accelerate the certification process for NDT personnel.
• Master the ramp-up of NDT operations in aerospace by training the next generation of NDT professionals.
• Learn about the current trends for NDT activities in the industry.
• Gain understanding about the general process and challenges to become a certified NDT technician
• Build a strong foundation and create success stories: from newcomers to NDT experts.
