The aim of the webinar is to provide useful, knowledgeable advice of how we can manage COVID and its impact on the cabin throughout the passenger journey. It will seek to answer key questions such as:-

- Can we safely return to 2019 passenger numbers?
- What precautions do we need to take to enable this?
- Is there a limit on cabin density and is it safe to sit passengers three abreast in economy class?
- If COVID is suspected to be present in the cabin, what can we do to reduce the risk of transmission and infection?
- What impact do surface materials have on the cabin interior and how do you best clean/disinfect them?
- What impact does airflow have on the cabin to safeguard passengers and what can be done to improve it?

Kevin Hyde
R&D Manager - Tapis Corporation
Kevin Hyde is the R&D Manager for Tapis Corporation. Kevin has been developing innovative products since 2008 and has experience in every aspect of textile manufacturing, from raw material creation to finished product. His areas of expertise include polymer science and textile finishing. Kevin holds a PhD in Fiber and Polymer Science and a MS in Textile Chemistry from North Carolina State University, where he was also an Institute of Textile Technology Fellow. He completed his BS in Textile Engineering Technology at Southern Polytechnic State University. Kevin is based at the Tapis Corporation manufacturing facility in Dallas, TX.

William LeGrand is an experienced Supply Chain Analyst with 14 years’ experience, seven of those years with Southwest Airline’s Technical Operations Supply Chain. Coming off of Southwest’s Skyline 737-700 conversion program, William stepped into Strategic Sourcing where he manages Component Sourcing for Cabin Interiors and Inflight Connectivity on Southwest’s Boeing 737 fleet.

Matthew Nicholls is the Sales Director at Tapis Corporation and a materials Scientist. Matthew holds a BSc in Computer Science from Cardiff University and a Masters in Leather Science from University College Northampton. Matthew is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Leather Technologists and Chemists.

Ben Bettell
Ben has worked within the aircraft industry in senior positions for more than 40 years, including being Group Business Development Director for Premium Aircraft Interiors Group for 24 years responsible for global sales, marketing and product development. Ben has been engaged in almost all aspects of interiors, including the manufacture and sales of Crew Seats, Galleys and Inserts, Lavatories, Water and Waste, Stow bins, and Monuments. He has been involved in all classes of seating design, development and certification. Since retirement from PAIG in 2010, Ben is engaged with Counterpoint Market Intelligence Ltd and Acumen Design Associates Ltd as well as working for clients around the world on: design and development of new interiors, market research and M&A.
