Carlo Fiorella
Global Market Manager, DuPont
Carlo Fiorella is the Global Market Manager for the DuPont Automotive team and is responsible for the group’s overall strategy and growth pipeline. One of Carlo’s visions for the group is to make it and DuPont a leading name in Automotive Electrification. Drawing on DuPont’s storied history in the automotive space, Carlo is putting that vision into action by innovating new, market-leading applications for DuPont’s legacy brands, including Nomex® and Kevlar®, while actively expanding the portfolio to meet market needs in the rapidly growing xEV space. His extensive experience in application development, coupled with his interest in and passion for all things automotive, allow him to partner closely with OEMs and Tier 1s around the world to invest and develop in unparalleled technologies that will protect passengers and increase the efficiency and sustainability of electrified automobiles.

Prior to joining the Automotive team, Carlo was a Global Segment Leader for DuPont’s Life Protection team, where he recognized a need and demand for new armor products, helped drive growth projects that fit the bill, and then successfully launched products in both the military and law enforcement sectors. Before moving to S&C, Carlo spent ten years in DuPont Engineering and Research Technologies, focused on Automotive and Defense applications. He graduated from University of Delaware with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.

Conor Sheehan
Application Development Engineer Automotive, DuPont
Conor Sheehan is an Application Development Engineer in DuPont’s Automotive team. Based in Meyrin, Switzerland, he is responsible for battery safety technology and design. Conor works closely with OEM customers to support their development and bring new material innovations to life that address their specific needs and create battery safety solutions. His area of expertise is in guiding the internal development of DuPont’s automotive solutions based on the ever-changing market trends as well as predicting and addressing challenges the industry may face in the future. Through his exploration into electric vehicles, Conor has contributed to the development of DuPont’s technical roadmap for enhanced battery cell safety to prevent thermal runaway propagation and protect vehicle occupants.

On a day-to-day basis Conor helps DuPont’s S&C Automotive group execute its growth strategy by working closely with material experts to bring new innovations to the market and enable safe, sustainable growth in the EV industry. He has a strong vision for the future of mobility on a global scale and the importance of safety within this model.

Prior to joining DuPont’s Automotive team in 2019, Conor was an engineer at Cummins Inc., focusing specifically on battery advanced engineering. Before working to design and engineer battery solutions at Cummins, Conor was a graduate of Brunel University in London where he achieved a 1st Class MEng Degree in Mechanical Engineering with Automotive Design.

Pierre Calippe
e-Powertrain Architect, Renault DP World F1 Team
Pierre Calippe joined Renault DP World F1 Team in 2013. After graduating at the Ecole Supérieure des Techniques Aéronautiques et de Construction Automobile, Pierre has spent the first part of his career in the Automotive electronics industry and came to Motorsport in 2007 within Peugeot Sport. Pierre has been the architect of the Peugeot 908 Hybrid system, of the first-generation Formula E e-drive train and of the current Renault DP World F1 Team Power Unit ERS system.

Jérôme Lafarge
Head of Technology, Renault DP World F1 Team
Jérôme Lafarge joined Renault DP World F1 Team as Head of Material Science in 2017.
After graduating at the Ecole Supérieure des Techniques Aéronautiques et de Construction Automobile, Jérôme started in Formula One at Prost Grand Prix in 1999. Before embarking on his current role, Jérôme’s previous experiences includes time at Arrows Grand Prix and Toyota Motorsport as well as over ten years with Red Bull Racing and Red Bull Technology.
