About ADHD Awareness Week
為響應每年10份美國ADHD關注月,Let’s Talk ADHD將於2021年10月24至30日,聯同專注力促進會一同舉辦第二屆香港ADHD關注周。今年主題為「活出ADHD新角度」,今年邀請到來自歐盟、英國、美國、加拿大、 愛爾蘭及香港本地的ADHD學者、機構及組織,以及ADHD過來人等 24 位嘉賓,舉辦 22 個線上研討會及互動工作坊,以助提升ADHD患者、業界專家及公眾對ADHD的認識,並了解國際治療ADHD的最新發展。

各線上研討會及互動工作坊的題目涵蓋成人及女性ADHD患者生命中的各種挑戰,包括工作、醫療、就業、情緒與家庭關係等等。期望透過是次關注周,發掘並接觸到社會上未被發現的患者,並提倡正視身心健康,克服職場、社交和生活上的困難。

Echoing yearly’s USA ADHD Awareness Month, Let’s Talk ADHD and HKEA are going to organize the “ADHD Awareness Week” for the second time between 24 and 31 October 2021. This year’s “ADHD Awareness Week” theme is “New Ways of Thinking about ADHD.” We will partner with 24 ADHD professionals, specialists, and ADHDers from the EU, UK, US, Canada, Ireland, and Hong Kong. They will conduct 22 webinars and interactive workshops to raise awareness of ADHD among ADHDers, different professionals, experts, and the general public and the latest international developments of ADHD treatments.

The webinars and interactive workshops will cover different challenges facing adult and female ADHDers, including work and employment, medical treatment, and family relationships. Through Awareness Week, we wish to meet undiagnosed ADHDers and help all ADHDers develop physical and mental resilience, thus overcoming challenges arising from work, social and daily life.

    益生菌跟ADHD 之間的關係

    ADHD是由遺傳和環境因素所造成的疾病。有新研究顯示,一些ADHD患者的腸道微生物群落失衡。今次有請香港中文大學生物醫學學院教授及副院長(研究)徐國榮教授為大家揭開,腸腦軸背後的神秘面紗,討論腸道微生物失衡對ADHD患者的潛在影響,並講解ADHD患者在正確使用益生菌對他們的幫助。

    ADHD is a complex disease contributed by both genetic and environmental factors. Emerging evidence has shown that some ADHD patients have an imbalance in the micro-organism communities in their gut. In this talk, Professor Stephen Tsui will unveil the mystery behind the gut-brain axis and discuss the potential influence of gut micro-organisms on ADHD phenotypes. Finally, the modulation of the imbalance in gut micro-organisms using probiotics in ADHD patients will be reviewed. The goal of this webinar is to provide useful hints for the proper use of probiotics in ADHD patients.

    Most female ADHDers suffer from attention deficits. When the female ADHDers were young, they behaved very well and quietly at home or school, parents and teachers didn’t know them with ADHD. Missing the prime time for treatment affects the female ADHDers' mental health, physical health, and relationships. In this webinar, Ms. Chantel Fouche, Secretary General of ADHD, ASC & LD Belgium, will explain what difficulties and challenges female ADHDers are facing, the impact of delays in diagnosis and treatment, the current popularity of ADHD knowledge in Europe, and the services for European female ADHDers provided by ADHD, ASC & LD Belgium.
