This was a claim brought by a disabled man, Stephen Tyler against letting agents Paul Carr for discrimination, Paul Carr having told him that it was 'company policy' to refuse to rent to applicants in receipt of housing benefit.
Mr Tyler claimed discrimination and in a landmark decision, the court made a declaration that he had indeed been unlawfully discriminated against. In this webinar, barrister Tessa Buchanon who acted for the defendant Stephen Tyler, will discuss the case, and its significance for the future.
This webinar will be of interest to all landlords, letting agents and tenants.
