Dr. John A. Sunyecz, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist with over 25 years of clinical experience, with interest in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery including the evaluation and surgical treatment of pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence.
As Co-Medical Director of the Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology at Mon Health Medical Center, Dr. Sunyecz offers advanced, patient-centered care using the latest minimally invasive techniques. He earned his degrees from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy and College of Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists as well as a Certified Clinical Densitometrist.
Dr. Sunyecz is a frequent speaker on women's health topics and has served on numerous speakers bureaus. His commitment to excellence in gynecologic care has earned him accolades including Pittsburgh Magazine’s Top Doctors (2023–2025), Best of Fayette County Specialty Doctor (2024), and the UPMC Quality and Patient Safety Award (2018).
