Bringing a unique perspective of being both a collegiate fraternity advisor and sexual assault survivor, Julie will share her stories of working with students to make smart choices along with her narrowing story of being sexually assaulted and finding justice. Since her assault happened after her time as a fraternity advisor, you will get to hear first-hand how her views on working with students have changed.

Julie Tesch is an experienced non-profit executive specializing in agriculture, education, and rural development. She has both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She is known as a relationship builder that enjoys learning about people and the stories of their life. Julie has been an adjunct faculty member at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and served as an advisor at a fraternity for three years. While Julie was living in Washington, DC in 2014 she was sexually assaulted and is now an advocate for sexual assault survivors. As a result of her assault she has survived PTSD, depression, and anxiety. Sharing her story helps her to continue to heal. Julie now resides on her family farm outside of Mankato, MN where she enjoys life to the fullest.
