As Bonnie Rosen enters her 17th season at the helm of Temple lacrosse in 2023, her contributions to the sport and to the community continue to be recognized by many. Over the past 14 seasons on North Broad Street, Rosen, a 2010 US Lacrosse Hall of Fame inductee, and 2021 Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame inductee, has guided the Owls to significant achievements on the field and through valuable growth experiences off the field. She is the 19th winningest active head coach in NCAA Division I women's lacrosse with 209 career wins at the conclusion of the 2022 season. She currently serves the IWLCA as the chair of the Rules, Safety, and Game Administration committee, and represents Division I on the NCAA Championships committee. Throughout her years as a collegiate coach, she has been actively involved in growing the game at all levels including recruiting and mentoring young coaches to the college game.
Lisa Melendy
Williams College, Director and Chair of Physical Education, Athletics and Recreation
Lisa Melendy enters her 15th full year as Director and Chair of Physical Education, Athletics and Recreation at Williams College in 2025-26. From Aug. 3, 2010, until April 3, 2011, Melendy served as the Interim Athletic Director, while the college embarked on a nation-wide search for an athletic director. On April 4, 2011, Melendy was named the Ephs' Athletic Director by then-President Adam Falk. Melendy served as the Associate Athletic Director at Williams from 1998-2009. She was the head coach of women's soccer for the Ephs from 1985-2001 and coached women’s lacrosse and women’s squash during her tenure in Williamstown, Massachusetts. In the 2006-07 academic year, Melendy was the Acting Athletic Director for the Ephs. Under Melendy's direction, the Ephs won the Directors' Cup while she was Acting AD, Interim AD and as the AD in 2011, helping extend Williams' streak of Cup wins to 13 straight and 15 out of the 16 awarded. Since becoming the Director of Athletics, Williams has won the Directors' Cup eight times. During her tenure, the Ephs have captured 16 national championships and 90 conference championships.
