Dr Lisa Ackerley
Director of Medical & Scientific Engagement, Hygiene Research & Development, Reckitt
Lisa is a Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner with a degree in Environmental Health and a PhD in behaviour in relation to hygiene. She has worked as an enforcement officer, in UK local and Central Government, in academia, and for 30 years in private practice advising the hospitality and leisure industry, acting as safety adviser for UK Hospitality until coming to work full time as the Director of Medical and Scientific Engagement, Hygiene for Reckitt. She is also known as The Hygiene Doctor and has worked extensively in the mass media to give advice to businesses and consumers about hygiene.

Faiek El Saadani

Faiek El Saadani comes to W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island with a wealth of international hospitality expertise and knowledge, having previously worked across multiple Marriott brands including St. Regis and JW Marriott. Faiek will be instrumental in repositioning the iconic Abu Dhabi hotel and establishing the luxury brand in the market.

Pascal has an extensive background in senior hotel management complemented with a proven track record of consistent results, Pascal embarks on his journey in performing on the center stage of the glamorous and unique Hotel property. Pascal brings over two decades of international and regional experience in luxury hotels from Hong Kong, Singapore, London, Qatar, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi to the Caribbean. As Director he will be responsible for keeping the vision and brand values of the property while overseeing all hotel operations including rooms, food and beverage, revenue management, cast and development, marketing, sales, and future growth efforts.

Jawad Saade
General Manager, Edge Creekside Hotel - Jannah Hotels & Resorts
Jawad worked with big hotel brands including Anantara Eastern Mangroves before he was introduced to Jannah Hotels and Resorts in January 2014. Jawad’s first role with the group was as the General Manager for Jannah Place Dubai Marina, which saw him become an integral member of the pre-opening team for the hotel. Jawad then undertook two different roles with the IFA Hotels & Resorts as Director of Hospitality and Somewhere Hotels, where he learned key skills in strategic direction, staff management and customer satisfaction, before returning to Jannah Hotel and Resorts in 2019.

Hakan Ozel
General Manager, Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai
A Turkish national with over 17 years of experience within the Shangri-La family, Hakan Ozel brings strategic thinking and hospitality knowledge to the role from his diverse and rich career path in Asia and beyond.
Ozel was previously the general manager of Shangri La Hotel, Beijing – the first hotel of the Shangri-La group in the city, where he undertook special projects to improve the hotel and its facilities. He has also worked at other properties in the same group in Wenzhou, Shenzhen and Dalian, as well as Indonesia and the Sultanate of Oman. Before joining the Shangri-La family, Ozel held postings at luxury hotels spanning Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and his hometown in Turkey.
