With the shelf life of GSM-R rapidly approaching around 2030, FRMCS (Future Railway Mobile Communication System) is due to be introduced between 2025 and 2035. The priority for infrastructure managers is to make that transition as smooth as possible.
This session will look at flexible and cost-effective strategies and technologies, including Bearer Independent Communication (BIC), that can help the transition and ensure operations are not compromised.
The audience will hear from an international rail authority, leading infrastructure owners, a major telecoms operator, and BIC experts Frequentis.
