Part 2: Digital nudge for social distancing

Social distancing is central to limiting the spread of COVID-19, and to gradually returning travel back to normality. Operators are seeking ways to overcome these new and unprecedented challenges.

The second of the four-part series ‘The power of digital to inspire rail passenger confidence’, the session will explore how digital technologies, such as signage, alerts, and mobile apps, can gently encourage, or ‘nudge’, passengers to maintain social distancing.

How can rail boost confidence in the safety of services whilst minimising disruption? During the webinar, the audience will hear from major rail operators Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) and RATP who will outline the digital strategies they have implemented over the past months to bring passengers back. Innovators Passengera and smart motors will present their latest technologies, as well as global consultancy PwC.
