What a year it's been. What started out as worries about interest rates turned into full-blown bedlam as Covid-19 sent shockwaves through the global economy. Insurers had to adapt instantaneously to changing consumer expectations and digitisation of the insurance value chain increased to outrageous levels. Most insurers will admit that they still have their work cut out for them but it's safe to say that incredible strides have been made. Meanwhile insurtechs took advantage of their digital-first approaches and saw boosted sales and insurtech investment hit an all-time high of $2.5 billion in 2020's third quarter alone. To cap it off, IPOs from insurtech unicorns are starting to come thick and fast. It's certainly been a year like no other in recent memory.
In this extra special Christmas edition of the Insurtech Insights webinar, we'll be having a look back at the sheer madness of the past year and what we expect for 2021. Did any of our predictions for 2020 come true? How many more IPOs will we see? Will 2021 be the year that insurers start to deliver the greatest experience ever? Let's have a chat and find out!
