About
Join us for an online session to discover the capabilities of functional ultrasound (fUS) with the Iconeus One system.

This session will showcase its applications in neuroscience, including task-induced activation mapping, resting-state functional connectivity, and in vivo dynamic angiography. We will also cover Ultrasound Localization Microscopy (ULM), a technique that provides super-resolution vascular imaging at the micrometer scale. Its ability to visualize the brain vasculature at 10 µm will be demonstrated, highlighting its impact on neuroscience research.

The session will also present the full workflow, from data acquisition to advanced processing and visualization using our integrated software suite.

It will conclude with a live Q&A, giving you the opportunity to interact directly with our experts.

Key Topics:

  • Demonstration of functional ultrasound (fUS) with the Iconeus One system

  • Showcase of different possible neuroscience applications

  • Introduction to ultrasound localization microscopy (ULM)

  • Live Q&A with Iconeus application experts

Sara Romanzi, PhD
Scientific Application Specialist
Sara holds a Master’s degree in Medical Biotechnology from the University of Milan and the University of Copenhagen, where she investigated the role of astrocytic calcium signaling in brain slices using optical and molecular methods.

She then completed her Ph.D. in Neuroscience and Neurotechnology at the Italian Institute of Technology and the University of Genoa, focusing on astrocyte–neuron interactions in the hippocampus during complex behaviors in mice, using advanced optical imaging and chemogenetic approaches.

In 2023, she joined Iconeus to explore new imaging modalities, where her role is now to convince other scientists to try fUS for a different perspective on brain imaging!
