About
This talk will guide you through the making of Storyland: a New Mythology of Britain. Amy will share how she chose which medieval stories to retell, why she illustrated them in linocut and how she sought to honour the sources while ensuring modern appeal. She will consider the question of ’truth’ when it comes to the study of myth and legend, revealing the complex symbiosis between real political events and tales of giants, goddesses and submerged Egyptian thrones.

As always, you will be able to submit your questions for Amy Jeffs throughout the presentation, to be answered in the live Q&A at the end of the talk.
