About
Discover how to harness the body’s natural ability to heal from trauma through somatic-focused interventions. In this engaging webinar, Diane Bigler, LCSW, LSCSW explores evidence-based, body-centered approaches that go beyond talk therapy to support lasting recovery and resilience.

Grounded in the principles of Somatic Experiencing® by Peter Levine, this session will empower clinicians to help clients regulate their nervous systems, restore safety, and reconnect with the present moment.

Why This Matters
Trauma lives not just in memories—but in the body. Traditional cognitive approaches may help clients understand their trauma stories, but true healing often requires addressing how trauma manifests physiologically.

This training provides concrete tools for recognizing and working with embodied trauma responses so you can guide clients toward integration and self-regulation.

● Many trauma survivors cycle between hyperarousal and numbness.
● Without somatic awareness, clients may feel “stuck” in painful patterns.
● Therapists who integrate body-based strategies can facilitate deeper emotional and physical healing.

What You’ll Learn
✅ At least five somatic interventions for trauma that restore regulation and balance.
✅ Two methods for fostering dual awareness in clients with trauma-induced dissociation.
✅ How to apply titration and pendulation techniques to manage overwhelm safely.
✅ Practical strategies to help clients track sensations and support nervous system repair.
✅ Ways to integrate resourcing, grounding, and movement techniques into sessions.
