About
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) provides clinicians with a structured, collaborative framework for understanding and addressing suicide risk.

In this one-hour webinar, participants will explore how cognitive distortions, emotional dysregulation, and behavioral avoidance can contribute to suicidality, and how CBT-informed interventions can help clinicians reduce suicidal urges while strengthening clients’ coping skills.

Participants will be introduced to the CBT “suicide mode” and explore practical strategies including cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, problem-solving, safety planning, and distress-management skills. Through lecture and clinical case examples, attendees will learn how to apply these approaches in ways that are structured, individualized, and collaborative.

What You’ll Learn

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
➡️ Identify at least four core tenets of the CBT model and conceptualization of suicide.
➡️ Explain at least five CBT-oriented methods of providing suicide intervention to clients.
