Crisis Chatbot prototyping with Node-RED

ABOUT THIS WEBINAR
Please sign up to IBM Cloud for this event – http://ibm.biz/crisischatbot

Do you want to help with reducing the impact of COVID-19?

Do you want to build a new skill while you're stuck at home?

Do Both!

Try Node-RED - a flow-based programming development IDE and runtime, available everywhere from the Raspberry Pi, Laptops, the Cloud to mainframes.

It's open source, it's free and it can run anywhere that node.js is available.

Node-RED is visual programming, lo-code - perfect for experimenting with APIs, services, and application models. It's also great for running pilots through to production.

We'll be using some of the Starter Kit materials from
https://developer.ibm.com/callforcode/getstarted/covid-19/
as worked examples, and maybe help you get a Call for Code project jump-started.

In this session, we'll introduce you to
+ flow-based programming approach
+ Node-RED development environment
+ Node-RED community and ecosystem
+ Building full-stack applications with cloud services
++ Databases
++ AI services
+ Common patterns for creating services
++ API endpoints
++ Forms-based web-apps
+ Anything else that time allows
You'll need an IBM Cloud account to set up some AI services, and a belief that coding isn't the hard part
