Jessica Venn

Purchasing Specialist

Jessica Venn is an Area Specialist with Homes for Expats, bringing a strong legal and international background to her role. Originally from Johannesburg, she qualified with a B Com in Law and LLB, lectured law at university level, then founded her own law firm focusing on consumer law and contracts.
In 2018 she moved to the Netherlands after a brief period living in Dubai.
Since then, she has shifted her focus from legal practice to helping expats feel settled and supported in their housing journey. Her experience navigating new countries and cultures gives her an empathetic edge when guiding clients.
Jessica’s approach is people-centred and thoughtful. She is passionate about connecting with her clients, understanding the emotional aspects of relocation and working to make finding a home in the Netherlands a meaningful and manageable process.

Lauren Hamilton

Rental Specialist

Lauren Hamilton moved from South Africa to the Netherlands with her family in 2020 and now helps expats navigate the Dutch housing market with clarity and confidence. Having gone through the relocation journey herself, she understands the challenges, frustrations, and uncertainties internationals face.
With 14 years of client-service and digital-marketing experience, she blends personal insight with professional expertise to provide clear, honest, and practical guidance—ensuring every client feels supported, informed, and empowered throughout their move.

Jana Sanchez

Co-founder of GTFO Tours

Jana helps Americans move abroad. She’s a former nominee for US Congress, who educates Americans through social media, and advises clients on the entire process from visas, passports, housing, education, working abroad and other topics.

She is a former journalist and once ran a pan-European public relations agency with partners. She has a BA in political science from Rice University and speaks Dutch well enough to get by. She lives in Haarlem, the Netherlands, with her Dutch husband and two rescue dogs.

Bethany Quinn

Co-founder of GTFO Tours

Bethany is a relocation coach who helps Americans move abroad and build up their businesses. She moved to the Netherlands on the DAFT visa in December 2022, and now lives in Amsterdam with her Dutch partner, Robin. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, and is a queer foodie who loves cooking, travel, and karaoke.

Bethany has an M.B.A. from Johns Hopkins University with a focus on entrepreneurship and finance and a B.A. from the University of Miami with a major in Latin American Studies. She has studied abroad in Panama, Brazil, and Chile. Before relocating to the Netherlands, she worked for a union on legislation and corporate campaigns, working on everything from the Affordable Care Act to immigration reform to private equity firm engagement. She has been on the founding team of a few companies, including a peace-building nonprofit in the Congo and a media company, and is a member of Mensa.

Melani Young

Founder of Find My Dutch School

Melani is the founder of Find My Dutch School, where she helps expat families navigate the Dutch education system, from toddlers starting preschool to teenagers in high school, whether families are considering Dutch or international schools. With a background in children’s development and welfare, Melani provides personalized guidance to help them find the best fit for their children. She manages every step of the process, from researching suitable schools, organizing visits and assisting with enrollment.
Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, Melani’s own international journey has taken her and her husband across Germany, the UK, Switzerland, the USA and now the Netherlands. Having experienced relocating with children, she understands firsthand the challenges of raising Third Culture Kids (TCK’s).
Now living on the outskirts of Amsterdam with her husband and two sons, Melani combines her personal experience and understanding of the Dutch education system to support families making the move abroad.

Scott Grandfield

Scott has been helping U.S. taxpayers with taxes since 1989. In 2009, he started his own tax practice and ran it successfully until he sold it in 2021. In 2020, Scott moved to the Netherlands and now focuses on assisting Americans living abroad with their U.S. tax responsibilities.
