Opening Presidential Address – South Africa, Mining & The Way Forward

In this session, H.E. Cyril Ramaphosa, President of South Africa, was introduced by Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane, Minister of Tourism and acting Minister of Mineral Resources & Energy.

H.E. Ramaphosa presented on opportunities for international investment in gold and platinum group metals, progress on South Africa's response to the global pandemic, as well as providing updates on South Africa's power generation progress and the critical role of the mining sector in rebooting the South African economy.
