Dr. Julene Reed
Professor and Independent Consultant
Dr. Julene Reed is an international consultant, researcher, speaker, and educator. She holds a doctorate in education leadership and global education, and her background is in K-12 education. Julene’s currently an adjunct professor in Lamar University’s Digital Learning and Leading graduate program and a co–instructor with Arizona State University’s Mary Lou Fulton Teacher’s College.
Julene’s global work includes implementing Learning Studios in Australia, New Zealand, and Azraq Refugee Camp in Jordan, working with educators in Tanzania, leading presentations at UNESCO’s Mobile Learning Week in Paris, directing Polar Bears International’s Tundra Connections program and broadcasts in Churchill, Canada, and research and the coordination of a mobile technology education initiative in Malawi.
Julene is a Microsoft Innovative Educator/Trainer, Apple Distinguished Educator, and a Google for Education Certified Trainer/Innovator. She’s also an Advisory Council member of Dr. Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots. In her work, Julene has partnered with Digital Promise Global, UNHDR, CARE, InZone, UNICEF, VSO, INEE, and UNESCO as well as Microsoft, Program 11, Digital Promise, Apple, Google, and Verizon Innovative Learning.
