Tera Peterson
Co-Founder, NuFACE
Microcurrent Aesthetician Tera Peterson is the Co-Founder of NuFACE, the leader in at-home Microcurrent Skincare™ offering a range of award-winning devices and topical skincare products that deliver clinically tested, professional results and skin confidence to clients everywhere.
Following business school and a short stint in sales, in 2002 Tera’s entrepreneurial spirit was sparked. Inspired by her mother, renowned microcurrent Aesthetician Carol Cole, Tera returned to school to pursue her license in aesthetics. She then worked as a licensed Aesthetician for several years specializing in professional microcurrent technology. In 2005, Peterson led the launch of NuFACE and successfully launched NuFACE Classic, the first hand-held, home-use microcurrent device cleared by the FDA. Under Peterson’s leadership and her visionary belief that devices are skincare, NuFACE continues to lead microcurrent innovation with a list of notable firsts including NuFACE Trinity®, an FDA-cleared multi-solution device innovatively designed with interchangeable treatment attachments, NuBODY®, the first at-home microcurrent device for body, and most recently NuFACE FIX®, the first mascara-sized microcurrent device for on-the-go use that instantly treats fine lines and wrinkles. NuFACE also launched FIX Serum, the first Microcurrent Skincare formula supercharged with minerals and peptides that brighten, tighten, and moisturize whether used alone or paired with your FIX Device.
NuFACE has garnered media coverage by notable outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, WWD, Allure, The New York Times, In Style, RedBook, Marie Claire, Life & Style, Elle, Harpers Bazaar, The Rachael Ray Show, The Today Show, New Beauty, Shape, Skin Inc., and more.
Tera received a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Management from the University of San Diego in 2000.
