William Payne
Content Manager for Public Policy, IoT M2M Council
William Payne is IMC Content Manager for Public Policy. He is a journalist and analyst focused on embedded and infrastructure technologies, particularly in the governmental, public and healthcare sectors. He manages public policy content for IMC and edits several of its newsletters.
He also separately provides analysis on technology futures and international market policy for the UK Home Office, Ofcom, FCDO and the DfIT.
He was previously Research Director of Silicon Bridge Research, providing research on UK & European public sector technology to UK and European public sector bodies, vendors and venture capital firms. He has covered public sector technology issues for the Sunday and Daily Telegraph, as well as a number of other specialist publications.
Formerly, he was a healthcare economist working within the UK healthcare sector on clinical and critical care technology implementations, as well as a research associate of King’s College Medical School.

Benson is a recognized domain expert and thought leader in IoT, smart cities, and Innovation Management. He is currently the Chair of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s IoT Advisory Board, and the co-chair of the CompTIA IoT Industry Advisory Council. He is also named one of the Onalytica Who’s Who Top Ten IoT influencers for Smart Cities (2020) and IoT experts (2022).

Josh Heller
Manager of Security Engineering, Digi
Josh Heller is Manager of Security Engineering at Digi. After a starting role as security engineer, he took on a leadership role in December of 2021, and today manages oversight of security testing and compliance on Digi branded products and IT consultation for improved security governance.

He has previous held roles in security engineering, analysis, and incident management/response for various industries such as retail, banking, telecom, as well as private companies.

His career began in the manufacturing industry in 2008 where he learned to use operational technology over the years to leverage robotics and system-to-system synthesis in bio-chemical engineering applications and industrial equipment. He later transitioned into IT in 2015 by eventually leading an ERP migration.

Josh graduated with a technical degree in network management and security in 2019, and holds certificates in AWS solution architecture and Certified Insight IDR Specialist, as well as additional training with the University of Minnesota forensic training boot camp, as well as Netskope, Tanium, CGRC (governance risk compliance) and ML/AI.

Syed Zaeem Hosain
Founder, Chief Evangelist, Aeris Communications
"Z” is responsible for the architecture and future direction of Aeris’ networks and technology strategy. He joined Aeris in 1996 as Vice President, Engineering and is a member of the founding executive team of Aeris. Mr. Hosain has more than 38 years of experience in the semiconductor, computer, and telecommunications industries, including product development, architecture design, and technical management. Prior to joining Aeris, he held senior engineering and management positions at Analog Devices, Cypress Semiconductor, CAD National, and ESS Technology. Mr. Hosain is Chairman of the International Forum on ANSI‐41 Standards Technology (IFAST) and Chairman Emeritus of the IoT M2M Council (IMC). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA.

Sridhar Ramachandran
Senior VP and CTO, Somos
Sridhar (Sri) Ramachandran is Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Somos, a leading trusted data management company. In his role, he oversees the company’s technology strategy and long-term vision.

Sri is an accomplished executive with a broad spectrum of experience in public and private companies in the telecommunications and cloud services industries. He has deep domain expertise in Internet of Things (IoT), mobile, VoIP, and cloud, as well as extensive experience leading cross-functional agile teams.

Over the last 20 years, Sri has brought his technical vision and leadership to several leading tech firms. Most recently, he served as the Vice President and Americas Head of IoT & Mobility Solutions at G+D Mobile Security Inc. Prior to that role, he held CTO positions at Numerex (now Sierra Wireless), Utilidata, Inteconnections division of Telcordia Technologies and NexTone (now Ribbon).

Sri has a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
