Multi-Band Direct Conversion ADC to Ka-Band
Don’t miss this first live demonstration of the most advanced Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) from Teledyne e2v Semiconductors, EV10AS940, a 10-bit single channel 12.8 Gsps ADC, with a max. total power consumption of 2.5 W and is capable of acquiring signal waveforms over multiple frequency bands up to Ka-band. Also demonstrated is the ADC EV10AS940 operation using an off-the-shell FPGA development board from ALPHA DATA as the FMC carrier board.
Presentation 1:
State-of-the-art Microwave Capable ADC: A Demonstration of EV10AS940 FMC Board
Presented by: Héline Barneoud, Application Engineer, Teledyne e2v
Abstract:
You will see Teledyne e2v’s latest ADC, EV10AS940, a 10-bit single channel, 12.8 Gsps ADC with outputs on an FMC evaluation board.
The ADC presented in this video is on an FMC board to show the capability offered by the ADC on a standard FMC board. It will demonstrate the startup of the ADC EV10AS940 using an off-the shelf FPGA development board from ALPHA DATA as the FMC carrier board. This will show how to perform a quick start up of EV10AS940 to see and evaluate its capabilities.
Presentation 2:
ADC Performance Demonstration in Multiple Frequency Bands up to Ka-Band with Only 195 mW/Gsps Using Single Ended Inputs
Presented by: Stéphane Breysse, Application Engineer, Teledyne e2v
Abstract:
The first live demonstration of the most advanced Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) from Teledyne e2v Semiconductors, EV10AS940, a 10-bit single channel, 12.8 Gsps ADC with a max total power consumption of 2.5 W. It is capable of acquiring signal waveforms over multiple frequency bands up to Ka-band. The ADC will be presented in its characterization environment with the description of all its functionalities (Multi-ADC Synchronization, Decimation, Multi-NCO, Fast Frequency Hopping, ESIstream 62B/64B serial interface, and single ended inputs). The performance and its wide instantaneous bandwidth up to 6.4 GHz will be demonstrated by sampling directly signals coming from a signal generator.
Presenter Bios:
Héline is currently a product application engineer in charge of high speed data converters (sub GHz, up to Ka band) ADC and DAC at Teledyne e2v.
After working as an electronic schematic designer she became product application engineer on standard linear ADC which permitted het to gain knowledge over design and high performance ADC.
She graduated in 2015 from Grenoble INP – ESISAR, France.
Stéphane is senior applications engineer in charge of high-Speed data converters and of the ESIstream high speed serial interface protocol used on latest Teledyne e2v ADC and DAC since 2019.
He is passionate about FPGAs and embedded systems on which he acquired a solid experience after working 10 years as an R&D engineer.
Stéphane graduated from Grenoble INP - ESISAR in France in 2010.
