This session will review the mandatory exceptions to disclosure such as those under for third party business interests (s. 21) and third party privacy (s. 22) and will explain both formal and informal third party consultation processes.
This is a hands-on session. Attendees will learn:
• How and to what extent to apply redactions to personal information
• When and how to create a summary of personal information
• When to avoid confirming or denying the existence of personal information
• Third party processes and
• Redacting challenging records such as investigation reports.
Attendees will participate in mock redaction exercises so that they can practice applying the knowledge imparted in this session.
