Are we preparing the future manufacturing trade workforce with the capabilities required to be successful and are we inspiring more young people to pursue the skilled trades? This session focuses on promoting, accelerating, and elevating the next generation of highly skilled trade professionals. Backed by funding from the Department of Defense’s Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment Program (IBAS), Project MFG is a manufacturing competition series designed to inspire “moments that spark a movement” to restore America’s industrial base. Project MFG competitions demonstrate the problem-solving abilities and technological aptitudes requisite for success in integrated advanced manufacturing.
