On June 22nd, President Trump signed an executive order suspending the issuance of H-1B, L-1, and the intern or trainee category of the J1 visa until Dec 31, 2020. The rationale behind this executive order was to protect the American citizens whose jobs were lost due to COVID19.

What has since followed has been expected sensationalism by much of popular media outlets. Unfortunately, most of the discussion around the executive order has increased the confusion and fear among international student and applicants. It has raised more questions than it answered.
