Tricia Copeland
Chief Information Officer - McCormack Baron Companies
Tricia Copeland has over 20 years of strategic technology and risk management leadership experience. She is team-oriented, proactive, and results-driven. In particular, she is known to be highly adept at initiating strategic solutions, building consensus, complying with regulations, and guiding cross-functional partnerships. She successfully engages teams, partners, and projects to effectively improve security, control risk, and drive organizational growth. She has led teams and delivered results at Fortune 500 companies in consulting financial services, and healthcare.

Ms. Copeland serves as the Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of McCormack Baron. In her role, she is responsible for creating and executing the information technology strategy. Previously she served as the Vice President of Information Technology focusing on the end-user experience at Magellan Health. During her tenure, she had oversight of teams of almost 200 employees, managed millions of dollars in infrastructure upgrades, and effectively served as a member of the IT Executive Leadership team. Prior to joining Magellan in 2017, Ms. Copeland spent 14 years at First Bank where she most recently served as the Vice President of Risk Management. She began her career as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte.

Recognized as an industry expert, Ms. Copeland holds certifications as a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) and in Control Governance of Enterprise Information Technology (CGEIT). She is highly adept at analyzing business risk, developing network strategy, and leading security control compliance. As a leader, she is described as collaborative with the ability to build strong relationships that inspire teams to deliver results.

Ms. Copeland earned her MBA and Master of Information Management from Washington University’s Olin Business School and McKelvey School of Engineering, respectively. She has an undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Truman State University. With a passion for promoting the next generation of leaders, Ms. Copeland was a founding member for Women in Technology in St. Louis and serves as a mentor to students within the business and engineering schools at Washington University. In addition, she volunteers at social justice organizations where she advocates improving education and health disparities.
