Lauryn Burdette
Process Engineer, KraussMaffei
Lauryn Burdette received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 2018. While at the University of Cincinnati, she participated in the co-op program and completed five co-op rotations with KraussMaffei Corporation—the last two which were at their facility in Hannover, Germany. Shortly after graduation, she was employed as a process engineer at KraussMaffei, where her areas of focus are recycling, highly filed, and sheet processing.
Dean Elliott
Director of Process Development, Entek
Mr. Dean Elliott has over 26 years of plastics extrusion experience. Dean earned a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Durban-Natal in his native South Africa. As the director of process development at Entek, he leads R&D projects, provides extrusion training and support for customers, and oversees pilot plant trials. To date, Dean has his name on six patents.
Brian Haight is the technology manager for extrusion processing at Leistritz with responsibilities including the development of extrusion processes, on-site support and training, and research and development. He is a graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and a master’s degree in pharmaceutical engineering. He has been published by the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists and in the second edition of the textbook titled “Pharmaceutical Extrusion Technology."
