From Ballooning to Results: Streamline Your FAI Process

FAI creation is critical to quality control but can often be a time-consuming, manual process. In this webinar, we’ll demonstrate tools that streamline the process by consolidating drawing requirements into an accountability checklist while keeping ballooned drawings and inspection sheets synchronized. See how drawing characteristics, sheet and zone information, BOMs, notes and specifications can be identified and captured while reducing manual data entry. We’ll cover how inspection results can be entered or imported from CMM data, validated against requirements and automatically flagged for nonconformances or missing AS9102 FAIR information. You’ll also see how easily balloons can be renumbered, units converted and ballooned drawings and inspection data exported to PDF or customized Excel formats. We’ll also explore support for 3D models, including extracting PMI data and creating ballooned model views for inspection sheets. Finally, we’ll briefly introduce additional capabilities available within the DISCUS suite to support quality and manufacturing processes.
