The main purpose of this analysis is to achieve dimensional stability on the initial trials of the mold. This study will show the approach taken in order to improve the overall circularity and geometric compliance on a mechanical gear made from 30% glass fiber filled resin. The effect of part geometry, fiber orientation, gate location, number of gates, process parameters and others will be analyzed and explained.
