This lecture examines fertility support through a functional and systems-based lens: reframing fertility as a vital sign reflective of overall metabolic, immune, endocrine, and mitochondrial health.* Emerging evidence suggests that subtle but modifiable changes including microbiome support, antioxidants, stress management, and thyroid support coupled with adrenal regulation and luteal phase optimization can support healthy fertility.* This presentation discusses targeted laboratory evaluation strategies, including markers for oxidative stress, organic acids, insulin resistance, homocysteine, cortisol rhythm, microbiome and myco testing. Mechanistic pathways are explored, particularly mitochondrial support, glucocorticoid effects on oocyte quality, beta-glucuronidase activity, and endometrial microbiome influences on implantation.* Evidence informed nutritional, botanical, lifestyle, and mind-body interventions are discussed for both females and males, with emphasis on healthy ovarian reserve, egg quality, sperm parameters, and implantation.*
