Nick is responsible for creating a forward-looking strategy to best serve customers, and a plan for how to get there. He has helped launch Truckstop.com’s Rate Analysis and Rate Forecast products, “Book It Now” digital freight matching, and now Rate Insights, which uses machine learning to disrupt the old “x-day average lane rates”, and provide load-level, current market rates to the transportation industry. Prior to Truckstop.com he founded and built a marketing software and service company, serving in multiple roles from working directly with customers to designing the product. Nick was a Brown’s scholar studying communication and math at Boise State University, and as a graduate student taught courses and ran grant-funded research on social media and web technologies.

Jacky Zhao is the Senior Director of Data Science & Analytics at Truckstop.com. Jacky leads a team of Machine Learning Engineers, Statisticians, and Business Intelligence Analysts developing the next generation of data products to empower the freight logistics industry.
Before joining Truckstop.com, Jacky held several roles in Data Science, Software Engineering, and Industrial Engineering at Coyote Logistics, Accenture, and Samsung.
Jacky holds an M.S in Data Science from the University of Missouri and a B.S in Industrial & Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan. His specializations are in applied machine learning and geospatial analytics. He currently sits on the Industry Advisory Board at the University of Missouri to provide consultation on real-world technologies and analytics challenges.
