What do we do when the unexpected happens?
The COVID-19 outbreak changed our daily lives, reminded us that unexpected things can happen, and for many, it took away consistency and comfort. Many of us were shaken out of our comfort zones. However, even during a pandemic, our kids need to learn, grow, and develop. For children and families, adjusting to the changes that came with the pandemic were and still are stressful. As time goes by, we get used to some of the adjustments, and we also start to run out of ideas. My job with this presentation is to help you manage some of these challenges, present ideas, and offer possible solutions. By the end of this presentation, I hope that each person in the audience feels better about their ability to overcome and cope with the challenges of this pandemic, especially when it comes to finding a new sense of stability for themselves and for children. At this point, I am choosing to see Covid as a Continuing Opportunity to Validate Individual’s Development. Please, know that I say this with a lot of respect and empathy for those who are no longer with us due to COVID-19. For us, who are still here, I feel that these are times to redefine ourselves and look for new solutions.
