    Susan Stokes
    PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Susan graduated in 2002 and commenced her early career as a physiotherapist working with the Australian Defence Force (ADF) in Sydney and then Wagga Wagga. During this time she managed to complete her Masters in Manual Therapy specialising in spinal pain. She was also travelled with ADF Rugby Union teams to both national and international events before relocating to Wodonga with her family in 2014.

Susan remains involved in rugby union as both a player and physiotherapist. Partly as the result of her own ankle injury, Susan has developed a keen interest in the rehabilitation of lower limb injuries. She knows and understands how important it is to get back on the pitch as soon as possible as well as how to manage long term injuries to prolong the playing career of her athletes. Whilst injury prevention and early management are known best options, Susan is trained in the GLA:D Hip and Knee Program which helps to assist those who are suffering from osteoarthritis. Susan has also been involved in several research projects on the knee as one of the treating therapists ensuring she is up to date with current treatments.

Outside work, you can find Susan at her gym or spending time with her family. In summer, this usually involves a day out on the weir waterskiing and wakeboarding or hitting the slopes in winter, fitting around rugby matches of course!
