Ben is the host of the Finance & Money Matters Podcast where he aims to empower everyone to be able to invest or ask their financial advisors the right questions about their investment. Ben looks at the world through a structural growth lens. He focuses on sectors that are not dependent on the vagaries of the economic cycle but rather on long term trends helping to shape financial markets.

Ben looks at companies in sectors that cater to a growing global population, to demographics trends and to automation amongst many.

Ben's story emanates from running large family office assets across multiple sectors and types of investments both public and private. His aim is to highlight key structural growth opportunities and how to construct a multi-asset global portfolio.

Ben Hakham
Partner, Traderoutes Capital LLP
Ben has over 35 years of experience in finance & investment. He has been active in the family office space for over 2 decades having served as CIO and Investment committee chairman of a $1bn+ AUM multi-asset family office.

Ben sits on a number of family boards and advises family office principals on asset allocation, governance and structure. He is also a Podcaster (hosts the weekly Money & Finance Matters series) and has launched a number of gaming apps.

Ben’s postgraduate diploma in computer science from Birkbeck College has acted as the backbone for his technology investing over the years, be it through direct venture and private equity at the family office where he was CIO or as the founder of a global tech biased long/short hedge fund or now as the CIO of a venture capital fund focused on the esports ecosystem.

Ben is a technology start-up advisor & mentor. He chairs a digital Brand/affiliate network platform and is working with a number of start-ups in their scale-up strategy. Ben has also been nominated to become Director of NSE, the UK’s only approved inter-university esports tournament hosting platform.
