It's All in the Experience

In this live session, we’ll look at the editing process from a different angle. Instead of starting with sliders, tools, and techniques, we’ll begin with the experience of the photograph itself. What do we notice first? Where does the eye want to go? What should the viewer feel, and what might be getting in the way of that experience?

From there, I’ll show you how I’ve been using some state-of-the-art tools to help organize my thoughts, challenge my decisions, and work through the moments when I’m not quite sure what an image needs. We’ll explore how these tools can help us think through composition, light, color, visual flow, and the overall story without taking over the creative process.

This session is not about letting technology make creative decisions for us. It is about using it as a sounding board to better understand our own intentions and make more purposeful choices.

Because in the end, the tools are not the experience.
