This course is designed to inform Work Comp claim handlers about what the Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) is and what its functions are as well as what Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMD) is. This course will also outline topics related to TMD and TMJ in order to increase the understanding of how TMD will affect patients. We will also briefly touch on common injuries associated with the TMJ, compensability, and insurance terms and coverages.

Dr. Partha Mukherji is a general dentist in Fort Worth, TX with 20 years of experience. He is a former adjunct professor at Texas A&M College of Dentistry, and has earned Fellowships in various dental organizations, including the Academy of General Dentistry. He has given presentations and written education content in general dentistry with a focus on evidence-based dentistry.
