The (Friday) Lockdown Show is a new format, weekly, online event brought to you by Exeter Chamber of Commerce and video production specialists Bitpod.
Our goal is to provide business relevant informative and upbeat stories that will help you through the covid-19 pandemic. Each week we will tailor the content in line with the feedback we receive from the business community in the Greater Exeter area.
With a mix of specialist speakers, information and good news from business, this web show is designed to keep you connected, up to date with the latest information to help you in your business and (we hope) entertained for 40 minutes at the end of the week.
Hosted by Matt Young, Episode One will give you important information to:
• Understand furloughing and what that means for employees and for the business from Jon Dunkley, partner and head of Wollens’ specialist employment law team
• Learn about Devon County Council's response to COVID-19 and its impact on the region from Keri Denton, Head of Economy, Enterprise and Skills at Devon County Council
• Find out why, now more than ever, it is the right time to launch the Net Zero Exeter 2030 plan from Liz O'Driscoll, Exeter City Futures
We will also , hear from businesses with good news to share and learn about Exeter’s biggest pyjama party.
Using an interactive webinar platform participants will be encouraged to ask questions via the comments feature and raise issues they would like addressed in future episodes.
EPISODE ONE will take place on THURSDAY 9 APRIL at 2pm, owing to the Good Friday bank holiday. Thereafter the show will run every Friday at 2pm.
