[Re]Focus - November 2020

ABOUT THIS WEBINAR
CONSTRUCTION IN THE CITY

On Thursday 26 November from 10am-11am, join us for Episode 3 of [RE]Focus for a special construction episode. November’s show will give you an overview and insight on some of the exciting build projects and developments currently in progress across the city.

We will be speaking to Dawn Chamberlain from Building Greater Exeter to hear about the work they are doing to support construction and skills in Exeter and the work they have linking in with Exeter's Recovery Plan. We’ll also be joined by some of the construction teams from different projects including Exeter Science Park, the Sandy Park Hotel and the South West Institute of Technology.

Build projects and developments across the city:

▶ Andrew Nixson, Kier - on the St Sidwells Point Leisure Centre and St Loyes developments

▶ Sally Basker, Exeter Science Park - on the new Ada Lovelace building at the Science Park

▶ Jenny Leach, Exeter College - to talk about the Digital and Data Centre, part of the South West Institute of Technology

▶ Danielle Haskings, Willmott Dixon - on build side of Exeter College's Digital and Data Centre

▶ Andrew Clancy, Coreus – progress the Sandy Park Hotel project so far

▶ Mike Crawford, Vistry Partnerships - the Alphington South West housing development

Plus, we’ll have a special feature looking at the city’s retailers with InExeter and how they can be supported during the lead up to Christmas.

Ann Hunter from InExeter will tell us about their new #ShopLocal campaign to support our highstreet and we’ll also be joined from some of Exeter’s indie retailers to tell us about how they have adapted their offerings to continue trading throughout lockdown.

The programme will be hosted by the brilliant Matt Young and is produced by Bitpod and One Voice Media on behalf of Exeter Chamber.

Everyone is welcome to attend and we hope you will join us on Thursday 26 November at 10am.
