About This Webinar

Since launching Vaping: Know the truth, EVERFI and the Truth Initiative have impacted thousands of students' lives, but we are not done yet. Join us as we discuss what we’ve learned and our plans for the future. We will discuss how many states are beginning to implement state mandates requiring prevention education and how we fit into these regulations.

Amy Taylor

Chief of Community Engagement @ Truth Initiative

Amy Taylor leads the community and youth engagement team at Truth Initiative and has more than two decades of experience in public health advocacy and education, with a background leading successful advocacy campaigns by engaging and mobilizing advocates and building coalitions. Her experience and leadership in movement building is expanding the reach of Truth Initiative’s youth leadership and community programs and her success working with nontraditional partners is fostering change in communities most impacted by tobacco use.

Megan Miccio

School Health Professional @ Thomas Jefferson High School | Denver Public Schools

Megan has worked on the Denver Public Schools prevention team as a School Health Professional since the 2017 school year. She has always been passionate about working with and supporting youth during their transformational years. Megan received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver in 2004. She then went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver in 2011. Her home base is at Thomas Jefferson High School 3 days a week where she is able to be on the ground with students and staff building a strong foundation of substance use prevention. When she is not at TJ she is able to focus her efforts on supporting other schools in DPS to implement sustainable prevention and intervention on substance use related issues. Outside of work she is an avid runner and enjoys time with her partner, 2 kids and 2 dogs.
