The startup scene in Europe offers numerous workshops and events for beginners and experts in product design. Yet rarely do we hear about how they actually work and which methodologies they use to create long-lasting work. Ergománia wants to change this by sharing its knowledge and methodologies with a wider audience through a series of Product Design Talks. We have also invited other international experts so we can present a more balanced and versatile image. After the panel discussion, we are inviting everyone to a casual closing networking on the wonder.me platform, where we will also hold the first in the networking series.

Successful MVP = Thoughtful function selection?
Almost everyone is familiar with the magic three-letter abbreviations MVP, USP, and UVP. This triad basically defines our starting product, be it a small startup or even a new service from a huge company. But are we really going through revolutionary times, or are these just well-known concepts rebranded and over-hyped? At the latest Product Design Talk, we look at how to define the first version of our product so that it can be financially successful and also elicit recognition and love from our users.

Can you really prioritize easily and well?
Most projects still select functions on an ad hoc basis. Poorly chosen features can lead to huge additional costs during development, while many features that are critical to users are forgotten. However, there are several methodologies, for example mental models and diary research, that help to well define or prioritize possible features in the first or later versions of a digital product. This time, we also present Kano model, which is excellent for determining what function to focus on in the next phase of development.
