Prof. Devika Madalli
Director, INFLIBNET
Prof Devika Madalli is the Director, INFLIBNET, UGC-IUC, Gandhinagar. Prior to joining INFLIBNET, Dr. Madalli has served as a Professor of the Documentation Research and Training Centre, Indian Statistical Institute and as an adjunct faculty, DISI, University of Trento, Italy. Dr. Madalli has extensive experience in teaching, research and capacity building. Her interest lies in the area of OERs and Educational resources repositories, Open Data Repositories and Data Management, Knowledge Organization and application of facetization in Information Systems, Information Infrastructures, Digital Libraries, Semantic Web technologies, Faceted Ontologies, Agrisemantics, multilingual information services.
Prof Madalli has served as a member of the Karnataka Evaluation Authority(KEA) and is a member of the Karnataka State Higher Education Council. Dr. Madalli has served as a member of the Technical Advisory Board of Research Data Alliance (RDA). She also serves as Co-chair for RDA interest groups on Research Evaluation, Global Research Commons and RDA-SDG group. She is a member of the governance board of DRYAD. Dr. Madalli has served as an expert/consultant to UNESCO, UNFAO, OECD, Commonwealth of Learning and European Commission and has travelled to about 50 countries on professional assignments. She has been awarded Fulbright and Erasmus Mundus fellowships.
Dr. Anirban Basu

Dr. Anirban Basu is a Scientific Editor in the microbiology portfolio at Elsevier, based in the Bengaluru office. He obtained his PhD in Plant Sciences from the University of Hyderabad, India, and joined Elsevier in 2022. Dr. Basu has extensive research experience in plant microbiology, plant-microbe interactions, and plant and soil microbiomes. In addition to his editorial responsibilities, he serves as a GenAI Champion at Elsevier, actively promoting the responsible adoption and integration of generative AI tools in scholarly publishing.

Ms. Aishwarya Nayal is a seasoned professional with over 12 years of experience in academic publishing and research solutions. As the Customer Success Manager for Elsevier in South Asia, she specializes in enabling researchers, faculty, and institutions to make the most of platforms such as ScienceDirect, Scopus, and Mendeley.
She is a Scopus and SciVal Certified Trainer and an active member of the Mendeley Global Community, bringing deep expertise in research metrics, scholarly publishing, and research workflow tools. Aishwarya has conducted over 300 national and international workshops, empowering researchers and students across leading government and private institutions to elevate their research impact and publishing success.

Nicholas is the Customer Success Team Manager for the South Asia & South-East Asia regions where he focuses on developing and fostering community engagement within the Academic & Government community. He is an Elsevier STMJ Accredited Author Workshop presenter and a Level 3 certified Mendeley trainer, and has conducted over 800 workshops across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines and Brunei. Nicholas strongly believes in adopting a consultative, collaborative and empathetic approach to drive customer success.

Natasha has an engineering degree in biotechnology and has interned as a nurse and a researcher in leading pharmaceutical companies. She has over ten years of business research and management consulting experience, across various healthcare sectors, supporting clinicians, nurses, faculty and students with health technology adoption. Originally from India, she is now based Malaysia and has established herself as a healthcare Thought Leader, with deep knowledge of Digital Health across Southeast Asia.
At present, Natasha is the Customer Success Manager at Elsevier. In her current role she works with healthcare providers, medical associations and universities to drive technology adoption and productive analytics to improve medical education, research and patient outcomes. She is well-versed in Elsevier business, solutions and associated professional workflows. Prior to this role, she worked with Frost & Sullivan (APAC) and KPMG (India).
