Part two of this series focuses more specifically on the different Bordeaux dry white producing terroirs and appellations, with a deep dive into different vineyard factors (location, soils, micro-climates) that influence the choice of grape variety/ies planted and styles of wines produced. It highlights the incredible diversity of styles –from different terroirs and different winegrower philosophies. Part two also looks at the emergence of varietal wines as well as the expanding role of other varieties beyond Sauvignon Blanc such as Semillon, Muscadelle and Sauvignon Gris.
