This session will explore the effects of sedative, analgesic, and anesthetic drugs on equine cardiopulmonary function. It will discuss how drug combinations can reduce individual doses and provide synergistic effects that improve anesthetic planes and recovery. Key pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic principles will also be reviewed to enhance understanding of total and partial intravenous anesthesia.
