About This Webinar

What does Transdisciplinary mean?
The Latin word trans was used to describe ‘a shift, a change, a dynamic situation’. Indeed transdisciplinarity is about moving from one situation to a different one, from one discipline to another. This shift happens as we take a new, more critical look of all the things we typically look at.

What is Transdisciplinary Design?
Transdisciplinary Design is a new method and approach to gaining that critical eye, with Design being used as a lens to observe the world. Transdisciplinary Design is a way to frame the problem as it brings out ‘new questions’ and leads to exploring a new field of challenges providing answers to complex issues.

What do participants learn in this course?
They learn how to approach Design not just in theory but also when applied to many different areas within the Transdisciplinary Design Collective Studio, as they also get a chance to work with other people bringing different perspectives and skills. And by doing so, they learn to look at things in a new way. They don’t just get to learn a profession, they learn how to do their own job in a totally new way. They will be trained in innovation, ready to become envisioners.

In this webinar you will discover, together with the reference advisor, the course coordinator and a student, the main characteristics of the program, the profile of the teachers, the projects carried out by the students and the career opportunities of the course.
